A new roof or new windows are not automatically grant-funded. Only eligible improvements recommended in your program inspection report and verified at final inspection qualify. Get grant approval before construction begins.

Questions about choosing your contractor
Can I choose Wonder for My Safe Florida Home upgrades?
Yes, you can choose an appropriately licensed Florida contractor for eligible work. The program no longer maintains an authorized-contractor list. Wonder Roofing & Renovations offers roofing, windows and doors; we will confirm the scope of your project with you.
Does the grant cover an entire roof replacement?
Do not assume the full roof price is covered. The program lists specific eligible roof improvements: roof-to-wall attachment, roof-deck attachment and secondary water resistance. Your inspection report and program requirements determine what may qualify.
Can I replace protected windows with impact windows using the grant?
The program does not fund replacing one compliant type of opening protection with another. For example, windows already protected by compliant hurricane shutters do not automatically qualify for grant-funded impact window replacements.
Can Wonder approve my application or perform the program inspection?
The program handles grant decisions and assigns its program inspectors. Our estimate is for construction work; it does not replace your official inspection or grant approval.
Can I request an estimate before my grant is approved?
Yes. Tell us your current stage so we can discuss the project. Do not begin grant-funded construction before the program gives approval.
Wonder is an independent contractor, not a state agency. Grant eligibility, funding and reimbursement are determined by the program. Read the official My Safe Florida Home guidance and eligible improvement requirements.
What to have ready for your upgrade estimate
Have your property address, program inspection report and current approval status available. Note which windows, doors or roof improvements you want priced. We will review the project with you before discussing the construction schedule.
Can you quote roofing, windows and doors together?
Yes. Tell us all the improvements you want to discuss. Your estimate should identify the construction scope and the work associated with your inspection recommendations, so you can review what is included.
How much will my upgrades cost?
The number and size of openings, product selection, installation conditions and roof scope affect the price. A program grant amount is not a construction quote. Request a written estimate for your home and confirm reimbursement requirements with the program.
How soon can the work start?
Timing depends on program approval, the agreed scope, product availability, permitting and crew availability. We will discuss those steps with you. Submitting the form does not reserve an installation date.
